N.I.H Legal Cell is jointly coordinated by NALSAR University of Law, INTACH UK Trust  and Heritage Conservation Initiative Consultants (H.C.I.C) . It offers services to coordinate, monitor and address the legal-disputes in heritage.

Legal interventions sought by heritage conservationists all over the country has resulted in saving heritage at critical junctures and at various national, regional and local level. In the existing and future scenario of heritage management, aspects related to solving the legal disputes are taking centre-stage and NIHLC endeavors to facilitate this development through its various tools of dispute resolution for better management of Indian heritage.
